The Havasupai Canyon with it's tropical setting, blue green waterfalls, about forty mile south of the south rim of the Grand Canyon National Park, is a surprisingly different setting from what we normally think of the Grand Canyon. Along the Havasupai Creek is a beautiful camp ground which is about a ten mile, easy hike from the rim, a place called the Hill Top. Since in the summer season, inside the canyon, temperature can easily reach 100 degrees plus, you need to leave the Hill Top at five in the morning. Not only can you enjoy the sunrise, you hike in cooler comfortable temperature, truly able to be awe struck by the impressive surroundings.
