Arches in early March, perfect weather, sunny 50-60 'ish during the day, cold at night, 20-30 'ish, no one there. Camp grounds empty. My favorite camp ground is Devil's Garden, see the view from campsite 21, spectacular! re photography, wide angle and medium zoom. I used the 12-24 about 40 percent of the time and the 24-120 the rest. (on a DSLR with 1.5X crop factor). So many subjects and themes.... I spent three days there, i.e. three sunrises and sunsets. Clear blue sky for two days finally some clouds on the third. Mesa Arch is actually in Canyonland next door to Arches. My first sunrise there was a bust, rain clouds over the sunrise, could not get the shoot I was looking for, needed to come back the next day. So plan accordingly, take your time, Moab is a great town to hang around in. Note, very limited digital photo supplies. Surprisingly, Action Photo on the main street is the only photo shop. They will put you digital files onto CD or DVD.
